ABOUT
Four friends whose professional careers include working in the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, the Academy of Music in Katowice and playing in the piano quartet. The ensemble was founded in 2020, united by their passion for chamber music and the need to take on new artistic challenges. In 2023, they received the title of Laureate of the 3rd International Competition of Polish Music in Rzeszów.
Metropolis Piano Quartet very quickly gained recognition in the music community. They have performed on many international and national festivals including: Polnisch-Deutsche Festtage 2024/Germany, XIV Cap Ferret Music Festiwal/France, 43. Gric Evenings/Croatia, XX Gumusluk Musik Festiwal/Turkey, Tsarsko Selo Festival/Bulgaria, XV Chamber Music Festival in Urle, X International Festival "Andrzej Nikodemowicz Time and Sound" in Lublin, IV International Artistic-Scientific Conference "Less Noticed Colors of Romanticism" at the Academy of Music in Katowice, XXX Silesian Ludwig van Beethoven Festival in Głogówek, concert "Józef Wieniawski on the 110th anniversary of his death" at the Zamoyski Museum in Kozłówka.
They also performed at the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, the Warmian-Masurian Philharmonic in Olsztyn, the Opole Philharmonic, Sudeten Philharmonic in Wałbrzych and the Silesian Philharmonic in Katowice.


Sulamita Ślubowska
Violinist, soloist, chamber musician, and above all - musician.
She has studied in the class of prof. Szymon Krzeszowiec at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, where she currently works as an academic lecturer, as well as at MDW University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna in the class of Prof. Eszter Haffner. She has also honed her artistic skills under the guidance of such outstanding personalities as Pierre Amoyal, Gidon Kremer, Maria Szwajger-Kułakowska, Pinchas Zukerman, Bomsori Kim czy Bartłomiej Nizioł.
Dawid Jadamus
Violist and chamber musician.
He has studied in the class of prof. Elżbieta Mrożek-Loska at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. Since 2017, he has been associated with the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra (NOSPR) in Katowice.
He has perfected his skills under the guidance of such outstanding musicians as Claudio Bohorquez, Jose Gallardo, Apollon Musagete Quartet and Scharoun Ensemble Berlin, Maria Szwajger – Kułakowska, Anthony Spiri.
Since 2024, he has been the first voice of the NOSPR viola group.


Łukasz
Frant
Cellist, soloist and chamber musician.
In 2004 he became the youngest concertmaster and leader of the cello section of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice. Graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice and the Scuola Internazionale Di Musica da Camera del Trio di Trieste in Italy. From 2006 to 2016, he was
a lecturer at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice.
As a soloist, he has performed with many symphony orchestras in Poland under conductors like Krzysztof Penderecki, Antonello Manacorda, Robin O'Neill, Alexander Liebreich and others, performing concerts by Dvorak, Elgar, Haydn, Schumann, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven or Penderecki. He regularly performs as a soloist and chamber musician in Poland and abroad.
Joanna
Galon-Frant
Pianist and chamber musician.
Habilitated doctor and assistant professor in the Chamber Music Department of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. Graduate of the piano class under the artistic supervision of prof. Józef Stompel at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, as well as postgraduate studies in the chamber music piano class of prof. Maria Szwajger-Kułakowska and lecturer Marek Moś. Student of the Scuola Superiore Internazionale di Musica da Camera del Trio di Trieste in Italy. Scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture and Art and the Stiftung fuer die Musik in Zurich.
